Some of our favorite local places are:
Breakfast- at the Dream Cafe – downtown on Main Street between 3rd and 4th.
Mexican- Authentic mexican can be found at two locations, one is on corner of pitken and 7th the other is a cart located on 6&50 just across from Sams Club. Both have very good authentic mexican. Another place we frequent is Dos Hombres, located about 2 miles down the hill from the house, American Mexican, very healthy and a good atmosphere.
Sushi – Suherio’s is located downtown, on main between 5th and 6th. Also really good is No Coast, located on the corner of 1st and North Avenue.
Fine Dining – Bin707 – Our first choice for a night out and continually award wining. Another one of Grand Junction’s best dining places is 626 Rood, located downtown on Rood as the name states. It has an amazing wine bar, you order wine in flights…and great food. Call ahead for reservations. Another great Dining location is LeRouge – Located on Main, between 3rd and 4th and features fine french cuisine
Bar – As for nightlife, Grand Junction’s most happening location is Naggie MgGuees, located on 4th and Colorado. It is an Irish pub, good food and has live entertainment on most weekends. Another good spot is the Blue Moon, located on 7th just north of Main street.
Brewery- There are 3 breweries in GJ, The Rockslide, Kanah Creek and Breckenridge Brewery…we love the beer at Kanah Creek and they have great brick oven pizzas too. They are located on 12th and Orchard near the College.
